Rose May-Somerville has just arrived back in the country having lived in England for several years. Her first degree was a Bachelor of Home Science, majoring in Nutrition, at Otago University. Whilst living in London she qualified with a Masters in Osteopathy from the British School of Osteopathy. She then worked with Averille Morgan, a well respected Osteopath who specialises in Cranial Osteopathy. Averille taught at undergraduate and postgraduate level, in UK and Europe, on pregnancy care, care of mother and baby with a family-centred approach, paediatric care and fluid systems. Rose learnt a lot from Averille and applied these skills to running her own Osteopathic practice in Norfolk, UK.
Rose loves the way Osteopathy is a hands on, holistic therapy, that accentuates the body’s own healing ability. She uses a range of techniques depending on the needs of the patient. She enjoys treating all ages and conditions, such as:
- back and neck problems
- digestive issues, asthma and breathing problems
- longterm aches and pains caused by office work, manual labour or getting older
- pregnancy and post-partum care for Mum
- treatment of babies and toddlers
- sporting injuries & accidents
- ongoing maintenance of health
Rose holds a Certificate of Sports Massage (Hons.). She is ACC registered so she can set up a claim for you without you having to visit your doctor, hospital or other ACC provider.
